The Colorado Department of Health and Environment (CDPHE) has asked Children’s Hospital Colorado to partner again in offering the vaccine to the community. Beginning today, Wednesday, June 22, Children's will begin hosting mobile clinics at the Anschutz, North and South campus. The first clinic at Colorado Springs Hospital is scheduled for Saturday, June 25. **Please note: Arvada Pediatrics has not received vaccine doses recently, so we are not able to offer it at APA at this time. We are grateful to CHCO for helping us to vaccinate our eligible patients.**
The Moderna vaccine is a two-dose primary series (28 days apart), and the Pfizer vaccine is a three-dose primary series (21 days apart for dose one and two and at least two months past the second dose for the third dose in the series).
In addition to any newly authorized pediatric doses, the CDPHE mobile vaccine clinics will carry Pfizer and Moderna doses for adults, adolescents, children ages 5 to 12, and boosters. These doses are available on a walk-in basis, while families with children ages 6 months to 5 years should make appointments through CDPHE. Click here to schedule an appointment.
COVID The medical providers at Arvada Pediatrics support and encourage COVID-19 vaccination of our eligible patients. Due to variable supply and availability, we are not currently scheduling COVID vaccine appointments at our office. We encourage you to contact your local pharmacy or vaccination site for an appointment for your children. We will update this site if supplies change. Please note that we continue to require face coverings for all visitors to our clinic over the age of 2 years, regardless of vaccination status.
Rapid antigen testing for COVID-19 is now available at Arvada Pediatrics for our patients, in addition to send-out PCR testing. One or both tests may be recommended depending on symptoms. Please schedule an appointment with one of our providers to discuss your best screening option. (Visit copays may apply per your insurance plan.
